Job Description

Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Aviation and Airport Management

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated full-time faculty member to teach aviation and airport management courses in the Transportation, Logistics, and Safety Management section in the Department of Business and Economics at Modern College of Business and Science. The ideal candidate must possess a Ph.D. (for Assistant Professor) or Master’s (for Lecturer) in Aviation Management/Airport Management or a related field from a recognized university. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching a range of courses to a bachelor's level student in the field of aviation and airport management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, developing course syllabi, designing assessments and evaluations, guiding capstone projects, and providing academic advising and support to students. They will also engage in scholarly activities, including research writing, conference participation and presentations, and participate in college and departmental service activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

·       For Assistant Professor-Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Aviation Management/Airport Management or a closely related field with a minimum of three years of teaching experience.

·       For Lecturer-Masters in Aviation Management/Airport Management or a related field from a recognized university with a minimum of three years of teaching experience.

·       Industry experience is preferred.

·       Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective instructional strategies that promote student learning.

·       Strong oral and written communication skills.

·       A commitment to high-quality teaching, scholarly activity, and service to the college and community.

The faculty must have the ability to teach from the following core courses of aviation management:

Aviation Management; Airport Management; Airline Management; Airport Planning and Design; Air Operations Management; Air Traffic Management; Aviation Safety; Aviation Laws; Air Cargo; Accident Prevention and Causation; Meteorology; Airport Administration and Finance
